Timex Originals Matelasse Watch - Classic Stainless Steel Analog Watch for Men & Women, Perfect for Casual, Office, and Everyday Wear

I'm such a fan of these big Timex indiglo watches. It's got a gorgeous, classy face, and while I wasn't a fan of the quilted look of the band before I bought it, I accept it. lol. The price was about $27usd when I bought it earlier this month (Feb 2018). I have a couple other Timex watches and also got someone one as a gift a few months ago. All watches are in great shape and still going strong, including the ones I bought in 2015.Great buy.Personally, I thought the tan-coloured one the best of the three available here (black / red / tan), but the black and red were $27 or so, while the tan was $89! So... yah. lolRe the case, it's a more bulky sort of look, as the case doesn't taper down at the sides (compare to the Fossil 'Jacqueline' line of watches, side view, to see what I mean). But I do like the look of it, esp as the face is so stunning.While I generally like timex watches I will say that this one is just okay for me. The positive things about this watch is the quality of the leather band is very good and the diamond pattern on it is different and too me sets it apart. Now the bad things is the face is just a little too big for me. Although the description said it was a large face didn't think it was gonna be that big like a mans watch. Also, I like the indiglo feature and mine has stopped working after only one month of use. I will continue to wear it as my spare watch but im not in love with this one.I have a very small wrist so was concerned it would be too bulky. Also can be sensitive to noise so was concerned about the mentions of loud ticking. However, I loved the look so took a chance. It looks great on my wrist and I still have two holes smaller on the band. I wear my watches a smidgen loose. I believe my wrist is 7 in around. The ticking can be heard in very quiet rooms but I feel it is a normal level of noise, not at all obnoxious. You can't hear it when other noise is going on...even just quiet noises like typing or low voices.The detail on the band is very nice. The leather band is soft, but sturdy. As with most entry level Timex...the ticking can be heard at night...so put in a different room or in a drawer, unless you like the ticking. Easy to read.I like it. As I've only had it for a week I'll hold off on the last star.... It is a LOT bigger than I'd expected but the band is just the right size. Very attractive.I have bought Timex watches for years. I have had this watch since the end of August. One of the reasons I like Timex is for the indiglo feature. So, I am a bit disappointed that this is the second watch that I have ordered where the indiglo feature has stopped working. Other than that, the watch looks great and works well.I gifted it to a friend .It did not work from day 1. Battery problem?I don't know. But it's a very beautiful watch.Still wearing it.
