Easy to dial in the tempo and the two different colors make it easy to gauge the BPM. Easy off and on as well. Would buy again if I lost it.Generally speaking when I first purchased the TAMA RW30, it worked fine and did as advertised. It was easy to set the beat, tempo, and change volume levels. Also had a phones input so you could hear the metronome if you were playing loud. All basic and perfectly fine. But maybe at the 10th month or so, it just died and stopped working. Won't turn on (obviously i tried new batteries, etc..). So I guess it is relatively cheap compared to similarly featured competition but now I know it is a false economy because now I need to get a new metronome.Update: Now, a couple months later, the dial that controls the tempo doesn't work. It moves the tempo up or down, or sometimes just flutters between a few numbers, regardless of the direction in which you move it. To the extent that it works at all--i.e., will operate at a tempo that I choose--it's far too frustrating to get there. I have never taken it out of the house, dropped it, or handled it in any way that would justify such a short useful life. Pretty crappy, Tama!(Initial impression:I am very pleased with this metronome. It is simple and easy to use, has good features, and seems to be well made. Gracias ?? ??This item arrived defective. The 8th note doesn’t work. I was not allowed to return as it came from overseas. The only option i was given was to oay ANOTHER 200.00 to return and be reimbursed. I will never purchase another from this well known brand. Worst customer service I have ever received . I would give a zero if they allowed it. Too bad, it was nice, but i olay 8th notes the most frequently so useless for me without that function.Bough it for my son's drum assignments...works great!!!Very good and portable. Gives you a cue, audible or silent.It ate two Duracell batteries while sitting on my shell not in use/turned off. It also lacks features compared to any free metronome app for mobile phones that are simply amazing in quality and options. Further, the casing is flimsy and doesn't sit firmly on a flat surface. So really this thing is just waste of time and money, unless you like cheap stuff and don't mind having to remove the batteries every time in between use.Attempted to use this a couple of times, it does not seem accurate to me. The drum dial gives you a particular reading, after lifting and placing it back in the same position it provides a different reading. I can't really trust its reading so I have had it in the box unused. Very disappointingLoud earth hum when headphones plugged in. Once again a very poor quality electronic metronome. Why doesn't somebody make a decent one?Good metronome, the simple functions are very easy to pickup but the unit has a lot more more complex functionality the the advanced drummer would find extremely useful.It holds the metronome like it should.
