POWERED BY THE SUN All of our watches are solar powered and continually charge in natural and artificial light... think sunlight, moonlight, flashlight, candle light... you name it, our watches charge in it! Which means you don't have to change a battery every few months, and our landfills catch a break in the battery department as well. Better For The Planet Our watch cases are crafted from 85% recycled stainless steel and use castor oil based bio-plastic (no petroleum here, folks!) for the top ring, which means its better for you and better for the planet. From Bottle to Your Wrist Every year, more than 22 billion water bottles wind up in landfills. By crafting our rPet watch straps from recycled plastic bottles, we're diverting them from the landfill, and giving them a sleek new life of adventure with you. Adventure proof Our Field Watch features a securely attached crown to ensure ultimate durability and water-resistance up to 10 ATM, which means it is cleared for swimming and snorkeling but not deep sea diving.

Not what we expected so it was returned. Too small and for the price didn't offer the features we were looking for.I like how the watch looks . however the strap runs small I barely can secure the velcro. I was hoping that I can purchase a larger longer strap. Thank youThe watch looks better than anticipated. It could use a better band. I will replace the band with a better one soon.Velcro band is infinitely adjustable, the lume is good for a lower end watch, I like that is is made from sustainable materials, wish it had a date window, but, it's still ok.Simple yet rugged watch. I take it to work everyday. Gets the job done for sure!I purchased this watch about 8 months ago since I wanted a field watch that was rugged, easy to read and low maintenance(no winding or battery replacement). I am very pleased to say that it has delivered on all fronts.Despite being a relatively low priced watch, it is quite durable. I took it on a 2 week road trip to the western united states. I camped and hiked in the desert, through the snowy mountains of yellowstone(yes we were surprised too), the woods of Colorado etc and the watch handled everything like a champ. I fell into a river, jumped off the top of a waterfall and exposed the watch to 90 degree sun. NOTHING COULD STOP IT.I think the styling is excellent. I have the tan strap and black bezel version. The watch is very comfortable as well. Because of the velcro it's easy to get the watch to sit just right on my wrist. I am a smaller framed guy and 42mm is usually my limit on case size but I was happy to learn that the watch wears a bit smaller. In my small collection of Seiko divers, dress watches and horde of cheap Casios, this watch gets a lot of wrist time in my average week. If you're interested in something like this, buy it.I have and daily wear higher end swiss watches, but I'm not a watch snob so I tried this one out. I have to say that I'm very impressed.First let's talk dimensions. The case is 42mm and the band is 22mm wide. On paper that sounds like it would be fairly large/chunky, in fact it's the same dimensions as my Tudor Pelagos which is a big watch for a normal sized man. However those dimensions only tell half the tale. The case is fairly slim, probably not super thick and with the strap feels like it weighs almost nothing. It's VERY comfortable for all day wear.On styling, I have the all black version which is well done. Simple easy to read numerals, smaller 24 hour clock numerals and the accents of the red seconds hand and white stitching on the strap just look great. The numerals and lettering on the dial are raised, giving it some depth. The dial itself is black but does have a sunburst pattern when you move it around in the light, nice touch. In terms of use as mentioned it's lightweight and has nice curved lugs. This along with a 22mm wide strap make it SUPER comfortable no matter what you're doing. The strap itself is adjustable with velcro on both sides meaning you can get a perfect fit. It has narrow 'pencil' hands and a red arrow for the second hand. All accurate and easy to read. As mentioned above you've got 24 hour numerals which is a nice touch. No date however. Now we have to talk about lume, that glow in the dark stuff. This is one of my problems with the watch. I charged the lume by holding it for a minute in front of a bright light. While initially decently bright when I woke up this morning to look at the time it was BARELY visible. Even now after having been up a while with the light on when I turn it off I can barely read the watch. In terms of features it's really nice to see recycled materials and solar power used in a field watch targeted for outdoor enthusiasts, or people who want to style themselves as such. 100M water resistance is plenty for anyone who isn't diving and the screw down crown should give you some additional comfort taking this watch in the water. The mineral glass is better than plastic for resisting scratches, not as good as sapphire on higher end watches but this thing is under $200 so it's hard to complain. Obviously it's quartz so no nice second hand sweep. However impact resistance should be good because of that.Other than the weak lume this is a really nice, good looking and comfy watch that should serve you well in perpetuity with it's solar charging. For under $200 It's a really good bang for the buck.I really like the simplicity of this watch, the bold print numbers are easy to read even at a glance or at a short distance. The numbers and hands glow in the dark and will stay illuminated for over two minutes when they are charged under a light or the sun. The other markings on the watch face such as the second lines and 24-hour numbers do not glow in the dark but can still be read easily in low lighting. The numbers that indicate which hour of the day it currently is, seem useless. They only start at 13 and carry on all the way to 24. I think this space would have been more useful if the numbers were from 5 to 60 to indicate the minute of the hour like how most WW1 field watches were designed, the kind of watch that inspired the design for this one. (so said the manual)The watch has a "screw-down crown" which means that you must screw the crown in to make the watch waterproof, this is done by applying a little bit of pressure to the crown and rotating it clockwise. I only had to apply pressure for half a rotation 'til the crown dug into a thread, from there I continued rotating it until it stopped. The fabric band is pretty nice and gives the watch an adventurous and tactical look. The band is also easily removable so it can be replaced with another one. The band doesn't make me sweat like how leather, silicone, linked plastic/metal do which is another good thing about it. Wearing the band tightly makes my wrist itchy though so I always wear it a bit loose. Because it's made of fabric it absorbs water, so if you get it wet like when washing your hands it will become damp and uncomfortable but it won't take long to dry and it's still a much better material than leather. The watch itself is lightweight and doesn't shift around on my wrist as much as my other bulkier watches do. The watch is solar-powered and according to the manual, the battery can last up to 6 months on a full charge. There isn't any kind of indicator on the watch that shows how much power remains inside but as long as the watch receives some direct light now and again you won't have to worry about it dying. One thing I noticed when setting the time on this watch is that the second's hand doesn't move right away when pushing in the crown, it seems to be delayed by half a second. While this might not bother some people, I am very precise when setting a watch and try to make it so the watch is set perfectly. Overall it seems to be a good watch for everyday use and I like that the watch is made with recycled materials. My favorite thing about it though is its appearance and band.
