Beautiful time piece. Nice additional for collectorsReceived the watch. Battery was dead and it would not work. On top of that, the watch looks and feels like cheap junk. Had the battery been good and the watch worked, I am betting it wouldnt last 3 months.Opis' Wooden Watch is made almost completely from wood. The only exception is the fold-over locking clasp, which is made from black matte-finished stainless steel. The wood on the white maple option is very pale in color and a light beige. The wood is smoothly finished and has a nice grain. The watch is very lightweight, but feels well made. The wood is soft and will dent fairly easily... consider it an acquired patina. The watch's face is simple with dark chrome markings at the hours, black hands, and a light blue second hand. It is very easy to read at a glance. The crown to set the time is at the 4 o'clock position. The watch comes with extra links, but I actually had to take out a few links to fit my wrist. I am a 5'6" and 135 pound male, for reference, and I like my watches snuggly fitted. Opis thoughtfully included a tool to remove the links, but it's still difficult. I have a special tool to remove watch links and used that instead. With that tool the links came out easily. Just make sure that you are pushing the link pins in the right direction as one end is barbed to make is grab the wood easier. Once sized properly, I can wear the watch all day without issue and it is very comfortable. All in all... wonderful wooden watch.I was really exited to finally have a wooden watch. Seen all the good reviews on here, so i purchased this one. You would never guess its made out of wood. Feels and looks more like plastic. The face of the watch is cheap. The seconds hand is blue, so your eyes go to the seconds instead of what time it is. It takes me a couple of seconds of looking at the watch to determine what time it is.The watch fits and feels great tho. Just wish it had more style points. This watch is pretty simple as watches go, but the overall look of it is certainly interesting. It's definitely a conversation starter. First, it's a very attractive watch, and it's so lightweight that my husband said he didn't even notice it. It's pretty basic - just the marks for numbers and the hands on the face, and it does keep perfect time. This one also comes with extra links in case you need them, and it even includes a tool for adding and removing links, which is very unusual. Hubby has some pretty high end watches and none of them came with that tool. We had to buy one some years back for that very reason, but I've gotta say that the little tool included with this watch was easier to use than the one we've had for years. This may be a simplistic watch in style, but there is nothing simple about the quality. It's become a favorite for my husband who has mentioned that after wearing this one, he now realizes how heavy some of his other pieces are. This Opis watch is most certainly husband approved, and it even comes in a nice box that's perfect for gifting.PROS: - This wooden watch is super-light. The lightest I have ever worn. I forget I'm wearing it at the end of the day and have fallen asleep with it on, and I am one who always removes my watch before bed because I am concerned about the band cutting off circulation. - The watch seems to be made well and feels durable. The crown has a small indent around it for a fingernail to get a grip on it and pull it out to adjust the time.- There is a thin metal locking mechanism on the bracket to open and close it easily and smoothly.- This watch comes with a little envelop which contains a small tool to push the pins out of bracelet segments to make it wider or narrower. I had to use pliers to help me pull the pins out far enough to pull the links out.- I like that the crown is is offset at the 4 o'clock position as this keeps it away from indenting my wrist.CONS:- This watch is only water resistant to 3 feet :-(This is a very pretty time piece with emphasis on the wood styling on the bracelet and case. The contrast between the blue dial and the dark natural wood grain is really striking. The movement is not the finest quality, but as a boutique watch it's appealing and gets a lot of compliments. This watch weighs less than 1.5 oz!you hardly know you are wearing it.The wood *in the strap and on the back of the watch) is so comfortable! The watch has a clean and stylish face. It is easy to read, and it is totally beautiful!I have a healthy collection of watches, this is my new favorite. Sustainable, wearable, unforgettable.Have done a lot of carpentry in my work so love wood.
